Good News, on the Grandma Front

The tests today showed that Shrike's grandma has an ulcer, which isn't great, but is much better than many of the other options. They gave her some medicine and released her today.

The other good news is that she and Pappy agreed to stay with Shrike's parents for a few days, while she gets her strength back, rather than trying to manage on their own at home.

(They live up on a mountain, in pretty much the middle of nowhere, about forty-five minutes from here.)

We didn't think they'd be able to talk them into that, because they're rather "knot-headed" about such things, so we're really glad that they agreed.

Shrike's mom says she'll probably be serving my pot roast for dinner this evening. I hope they like it.

I guess I can be pretty sure it won't be the worst thing Pappy's had to eat in the last few days!

Thanks to everyone for your concern and positive thoughts.

  1. Glad to her G-mom is doing better and that it's not so serious! Glad to know my special mojo is good for something...

  2. Thanks. Of course, just about anything can become serious pretty quickly at her age, so we're all very glad that she's out of the hospital and on the mend.
