Snow Day

Monday is usually a Peeper / Mommy day, but Mama had a day off of work because of snow, so we had a bonus family day!

Of course, there was snow play and snowman building involved. Unfortunately, I didn't have my phone outside with me to get video when Peeper was doing somersaults all over the yard in the snow, but I did get a few photos of her eating some watermelon with Mr. Snowman.

Easter Party

Because of work schedules and such, we hosted the family Easter party a week early. Shrike's parents, Pappy, sister and sister-in-law (well, if we were a few miles down the road in a different state), niece, nephew, aunt and uncle came for the party, and A and 3yearoldtodayJ came over later for dinner and much running around and playing.

The decorations

These eggs are from Shrike's paternal grandmother, and the bunnies are from her maternal grandmother.

Yesterday, Peeper asked, "Can we make a chain-chain-chaaiin for the Easter party?" So we did.

Eena and Papa brought Easter gifts for all the kids.

After we ate, Peeper and cousin S decided to hide Easters eggs. I don't think Peeper really gets it.

"C'mon, Mama, I'll show you where I hid them!"

 The entire basket was just sitting on the floor of the linen closet.

After a trim today, the hairstylist fixed Peeper up with this 'do.

I wish I could've gotten a better photo of it, but I really wish I'd gotten a video of the look on her face when she showed it to her in the mirror.

I thought it was bad when I saw this happening. (Yes, her pants are around her ankles, and it is in the high 30s outside.

Then I came back out and saw this.

Tidy Up Time

I didn't realize that Shrike was doing some tidying up until she walked by looking like this.

Snowman

Shrike and Peeper also did this while I was at work.

Egg-sercise

This afternoon, I came home from work, and Shrike asked me if I wanted boiled eggs for dinner. I asked, "Why are you boiling eggs?" and she told me, "You'll see."

I was expecting some sort of Easter project to be going on, but a moment later Peeper came running into the kitchen carrying a soup spoon, and asking, "Is it ready yet?"

It seems that she was very impressed with the "egg-and-spoon-race" episode of Charlie and Lola, so she had to try it herself.

Once they were boiled and cooled, we let her give it a try, and she did amazingly well with it, and ran all over the house with her little egg(s) on a spoon.

Of course, eventually, all three had hit the floor and cracked, so I peeled them in stuck them in the fridge to make egg salad, as soon as I get to the store to buy some mayo.
