Reindeer Games

At art class this morning, Peeper colored a picture of a reindeer, made a "jingle stick" (it's exactly what it sounds like - jingle bells on a stick) and made a picture of a reindeer using her hand and foot prints (much like the Christmas ornaments we made last year).

Then the kids jingled their sticks and sang "Jingle Bells" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and ate candy canes.

A good time was had by all.

This evening, Peeper found a Rudolph picture in her drawer, and I suggested that we watch the movie. She was down with that at first, but only lasted until about the part where "Wudof an' da denis" take off before she wanted to "watch bawway."

While she watched that, Mama took a little nap on the couch, and when she woke me up to get her some Goldfish, she asked me "Do you feel better?"

I told her, in my very sleepy voice, that I didn't feel bad, I was just tired. She asked "Are you sad?"

I said, "No, baby. I don't feel bad and I'm not sad, I'm just sleepy."

"You not crying?"

"Oh no, honey. Mama's not crying, I'm just sleepy. Why did you think I was crying?"

"I can't hear you voice."
