Candle Night

Peeper and I went downtown this evening for "Candle Night."

It's one of the "First Friday" events, with a special holiday twist. The businesses are open late and many are offering sales and specials, there's live Christmas music, and luminaria line the sidewalks.

The weather couldn't have been better for it, it was clear and cold, but not unbearably so. In fact, Peeper refused to wear her coat, and after a bit of walking (and any time we went inside) I was kind of wishing I'd not worn mine.

Checking out the poster for tomorrow's Nutcracker performance.

Walking back to the car, hands in pockets because she was getting cold. Yes, I had not one but two pairs of her gloves with me, but she wouldn't wear them, either.

She looked at this window display and asked, "Is dat da Mommy and da Mama?"
