Swimming Lessons

Peeper started "aquatots" swimming lessons at the Y this evening. Some of you may remember that she took the same class the summer that she was a baby, but since then, the sum total of her swimming experience was, hmmm, three quick dips in the pool during our beach vacation last year, so I wasn't quite sure how she was going to do.

She loooooved it!

We've been talking about it for a week or so, and this afternoon, as we were getting ready to go to dinner, on our way to the lesson (that whole don't-eat-for-an-hour thing is bullshit), she kept saying "Wanna go to swimmin lesson NOW!" and then when we made the mistake of getting there about fifteen minutes early, I thought we weren't going to be able to keep her out of the pool!

But, it was finally our turn, and she had a great time. She did say "Peeper all done!" a couple of times in the middle, but she never got unhappy, and in fact, at one point, she said, "Peeper swimming!"

I went in with her tonight, but I think it will be Shrike's turn next week, and I can be the offical poolside photographer.
