The Latest on the IVF Study

I emailed the study coordinator to see where things stand as to when they'll start prescreening again, and she said, "We are currently closed for enrollment. We put in a request for 20 more patients, but have not yet been approved, since they are giving other sites more of an opportunity to cycle patients. i would say there is a 50/50 chance we may be able to screen again soon. I will certainly keep you posted."

When I asked whether that means 50/50 that they'll be screening within two weeks, or if we're likely to have to sit out another cycle or two, she said, "Unfortunately Merck does not give us any timeframe. They may open spaces up tomorrow, it may be in 6 weeks, and we may not get anymore at all. But as soon as we get more spots, we'll let you know."

Aaaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhh!
