I love the hat! I understand from news reports that President Obama is in Copenhagen trying to salvage the climate talks, so guessing you didn't get to see him? What a beautiful Menorah and tree. Can't wait to see more pics when you get home and settled.
I saw a video once of a rabbi (I assume. All I saw was an Orthodox man but him being a rabbi is what makes my joke so we're going with rabbi) lighting one of those huge Hannukiahs and it was actual fire involved. They had it all rigged up with a harness and they hoisted him up and across the stage to light that night's drum of oil. Yes, it was the flying rabbi. Overall, very educational: I knew nuns flew but I didn't know rabbis flew and now I know. :)
I'm just your typical lesbian who met, fell in love with and moved half way across the country to be with the woman of my dreams, writing about life, love and - holy cow - parenting!
That's one really big menorah.
ReplyDeleteYeah, and they have to find one really big Jew to light it! Unfortunately, they've never asked me.
ReplyDeleteLOLOLOLOL!

ReplyDeleteSo it requires either a very big Jew or a flying Jew? Okay, now I understand.
