Shrike is ready to do some gardening

Sticking with the gardening theme

  1. I gotta get some of that chocolate "coal" for next year! Too cute!

  2. Yeah, that was pretty cute. Shrike - um, I mean Santa thinks it came from Bed, Bath and Beyond.

  3. Other things that the garden stone could have said:
    Leave a path in the garden so the angels can walk through;
    Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be;
    Come into my garden, I would like my flowers to see you;
    All Things Grow with Love;
    Live well, laugh often, love much;
    An hour in the garden puts life's problems in perspective;
    The purpose of life is a life of purpose...

    Yeah, yeah, very nice - somehow we just thought "Grow dammit" was more y'all's speed. :D

  4. LadyKay, Thank you so much for not going with any of those. YOu are absolutely right. I have often thought our welcome mat (or my welcome mat) should say instead, "Go away, no one is home." I hsve to figure out where I can put my stone where it is puppy safe, but I can see it.

  5. Maybe we should put the garden stone out front, where the puppers don't go? Perhaps by the mailbox, where it can talk to the irises?

    Also, LK, tell your Kiddo #2 thanks again for getting us that first "Play With Your Food" calendar a few years ago. We now look for a new one every year!

  6. Well, I should say that Shrike was smart enough to look for one this year. I was just looking at the one that's about to expire and being sad about it.
