Hoppy Easter, Everybunny!

More Googley goodness with this Easter Meme, stolen from everybody.

All About Easter
  1. What are your Easter traditions?
Shrike's family has always gotten together on Easter to hunt eggs. Since we bought our house, we've hosted the Easter party. This is our fourth year. It's nothing fancy, just 12 - 15 people, everybody brings some food to share. We have a late lunch and the kids hunt for eggs. Ideally, they hunt outside, but I think last year was the only time since we've hosted that the weather has cooperated!
  2. What is your favorite Easter dish??
Other than chocolate eggs and bunnies, we don't really have any specifically "Easter" dishes.
  3. When did you learn the truth about the Easter Bunny??
I don't remember, so I guess it wasn't very traumatic.
  4. How do you decorate your home for Easter? ?
At the last minute, just for the party! I don't have a ton of decorations, but I put them all out for that one afternoon. If Easter is late enough in the season that we've got daffodils blooming, I like to use a lot of them. Some years I've also bought flowers, but not this year.
  5. How many Easter egg hunts does your family usually participate in?
We just do the one, at our house. Our neice and nephew might do more, elsewhere.
  6. What is your favorite flavor of jellybean?
    Just about anything but licorice.
  7. How do you decorate Easter eggs?
When I was a kid, we used the little tablets in vinegar. Now we don't decorate any, we just hide the plastic ones. When we have a kid, I'm sure we'll decorate our own, and I'll probably want to use the fancy stuff!
  8. Do you make/buy special Sunday outfits for your kids on Easter?
No kids, no church, no outfits.
  9. What are your favorite church Easter hymns and/or choir arrangements?
    No church, no songs.
  10. Do you spend Easter at home, on vacation, or with family?
    At home, with the if-there-was-a-laws.
  11. Do you make deviled eggs out of leftover Easter eggs?
See above, re not dying eggs, but I always ask Shrike's grandma to bring deviled eggs for the "potluck." Sometimes she brings pickled eggs as well.
  12. Are you tired of eggs by the end of the Easter Season?
Again, not many real eggs here, so no.
  13. Are Peeps good or gross?
I'm not really a fan, but Shrike's dad likes them, and so do her niece and nephew. They don't seem so special anymore, though, now that you can get them year-round.
  14. What company makes the best chocolate for Easter Time?
    Hershey.
  15. Do you find plastic Easter grass hidden in places for months after Easter is over?
I don't buy the plastic grass anymore, after finding it in the litterbox a few years ago. Yes, it had been "processed" and it kind of freaked me out because long stringy things and intestines are a really bad combination.

  2. Yep. Cat (and dog) safety makes a good excuse to avoid the mess. Even with no kids, that stuff gets everywhere!
