Another Mystery Solved

I swear, I should not even be allowed near a kitchen. I am just a menace.

Remember how my cookie dough wouldn't firm up right? And then, maybe I didn't mention it, but the cookies seemed a lot more cakey than they should have been, and broke really easily.

But delicious. Rich, and yummy and . . . buttery?

Yeah.

Turns out that a stick of butter is a quarter of a pound, but it's half a cup.

And, therefore, when the recipe calls for a cup of butter, one should probably only use two sticks of butter and not four.
