Daily Peep: First Steps!

We were playing with Peeper this evening, "walking" her back and forth between us.

Basically, we'd walk her to the middle, and let go. She might or might not put one foot forward as she fell into waiting arms.

Then we turned on the camera, and she did this. It's not much, but it's a start!

While this was uploading (and the camera's memory card was indisposed) she did it several more times, more and more deliberately.

More video coming soon, I am sure!

  2. WOW!!! I was guessing a few more weeks. Good job Peeper!

Galoot says, "Oh, everyone's excited, they must want me. Here I am, here I am!"

(And perhaps, "Hey, I ALREADY know how to walk, what's the big deal with the kid??? See, see, I can walk right here in front of you. Lookie at ME!")

  3. I also love how she reacted the first time you tried to get her to do it again. She was like, "Are you KIDDING, did you see what happened last time?!?"

  5. She beat my kids, they were both 10 months for their first steps.

  6. Well, she's certainly not going anywhere on her own anytime soon, and she's not even actually cruising yet, but I count at least three independent steps here before she loses her balance, and I think she did as many as four at a time later.

You'll see I've put it on the sidebar, which makes it official!

  8. The camera is sitting on a chair. At the very beginning, you can see Peeper watching me set it up, and then I sit back down, and at the end, I think you can see me reach over to turn it off.

  9. Wow! Sammy is cruising but doesn't get the whole "walk with assistance" thing yet... she just sits down and crawls away :-)

I love the dog coming in to be in the middle of everything at the end. Ours does that, too :-)
