Good News From the Lab

We do not yet have back the "definitive" urine test, but we did get Peeper's blood test results from our trip to the Children's Hospital.

Her tyrosine level is still elevated, but the doctor there wrote on the lab report, "No indication of any amino acid metabolic disorder," so WOO HOO!

Our pediatrician's office said that the fact that the Children's Hospital hadn't called us personally probably meant that they didn't see anything on the labwork that we needed to do anything about.

In other words, although the tyrosine is still up, it's not up enough to warrant starting her on vitamin C, which is what he said he'd do if it was very high.

It may still be another ten days or so before we get the urine test results, but this is a pretty good indication that they are going to come back okay, too.

Whew!
