Santa Has Left the Building

The past six weeks or so have been all about my Christmas joys, but today we observed Shrike's favorite holiday tradition: Taking all this crap down and getting back to normal.

I defestified the dessicated Christmas tree (Ornament attached too tightly? No worries, the branch will just snap off in your hand anyway!) while Shrike put away, well, just about everything else.

I even cleared the last of the gifts off the dining table (onto the kitchen counter, but still) and switched from the green Christmasy table cloth with festive red runners to the default unseasonal (you guessed it) cobalt blue one.

Onto which we promptly dribbled black-eye pea juice.
