Weekend Dog Blog #8: Two Things
Here's a quick photo from this evening. It really doesn't do justice to what PerfectPup was doing. She really had a hold on BigGaloot's tail and was pulling for all she was worth. We couldn't believe how long it took him to react!
And a couple of unrelated stories:
Shrike reports that the pups treed a groundhog on their walk the other day, and didn't even know it. They were busy sniffing in the holes when she heard something behind her.
She saw a groundhog scurry up a tree and sit on a branch. They never even noticed it, and just kept sniffing around the holes.
We had no idea they could climb.
Another day, Shrike took a giant paper leaf bag into the backyard to fill up with leaves, grass clippings, brush etc. Of course, BigGaloot got hold of it and took off.
This bag is probably big enough for him to get inside (and he's a big dog) but he was dragging it all over the yard.
The funniest part is that PerfectPup is kind of flinchy, especially about things that rattle - like paper bags.
She even flinches when we're serving her food, as though she's afraid of the bag.
So Galoot was running all over the yard with this giant paper bag, and PerfectPup was running away from it.
Shrike said it looked like a little brother chasing his sister with a snake or something.
