Baby Panda!!!

Well, it wasn't our "hometown girl" Mei Xiang (panda keepers at the National Zoo determined in mid-August that Mei had either miscarried early, or was having a pseudopregnancy) but the Atlanta Zoo's panda, Lun Lun, gave birth to cub last night!

The new baby is the fourth panda in Atlanta, joining mom Lun Lun, dad Yang Yang and big sister Mei Lan, who turns two next Saturday.

And for those partial to the panda family at the National Zoo, you can still watch Mei Xiang, Tien Tien and three-year-old Tai Shan on their Panda Cam, as well.
